About Us
Teerapong Jaro (Mon) opened Karst Climbing in Ao Nang in April 2019. Mon has been climbing and working as a guide in Railay and Tonsai since 2006. He began climbing with his uncle Saree of Viking Climber, and fell in love with the sport. He moved to Tonsai to train under his uncle and dedicate himself to climbing and learning to guide. As a younger climber Mon tested his skills at some international climbing competitions but ultimately preferred a more laid back approach to climbing. He instead tested himself by climbing nearly every route in Railay and Tonsai. Over the years Mon has climbed at crags throughout Thailand and his international experience includes climbing trips to Austria, Laos, and China.
With more than a decade of experience, Mon decided to open Karst Climbing in Ao Nang with the motivation of providing the best quality of rock climbing instruction and adventure based on a passion for sharing an incredible experience with guests from around the world. As Karst Climbing grows, we look forward to welcoming more top-notch instructors to our team.

I did a full day climbing adventure with Karst and it was once of the best decisions I made! Mon was an incredible guide and very knowledgeable about rock climbing and the areas we were climbing. We was patient and encouraging. Our group was small and intimate and we really got individual attention for our needs. I'm hoping to home back sometime in the future and do lead training with Karst! I highly recommend Karst climbing if you will be in the Krabi area!

Spontaneous idea to do this for the first time - and am so glad I did. Individual expert tuition by Mon, who seemingly knows every inch of the rock faces. And a shout out to Lauren too for leading the way. Couldn’t have been more satisfied climbing in such a beautiful place. A great holiday experience.

I had 2 great climbing days with Mon. I never climbed with a rope before, but Mon showed me how to set up everything for safe climbing. Mon knew every route in his sleep and always gave me tips from below where the best grips were. I can recommend Karst Climbing for beginners as well as advanced climbers. I had a lot of fun!

My partner and I went out with Mon for an all day climbing trip. Mon was fantastic. With great skill and lovely nature, he assessed us pretty quickly and accurately and catered to our capabilities perfectly. And challenged us to make it special. Was an awesome day. Mon was my half-day private coach from Karst. He is very good, friendly, and rich local information. We went to the 123wall, several routes are all very fun. Hope next time i can get stronger and enjoy more there. Mon from Karast is a very professional coach, highly recommended. Will contact him again next time i visit krabi.
